Aspen Woods (west) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 5,568 in Aspen Woods (west) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 24.4% of the population. 54.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 20.1%. 43.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 40.5% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $160,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 23.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.67 km², giving a population density of 2,088 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
