West Springs (east) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 8,059 in West Springs (east) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 24.3% of the population. 38.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 10.7%. 59.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 33.3% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $155,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 12.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.44 km², giving a population density of 3,302 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
