Heritage Hills population

Census Tract 0205.04 · Cochrane · Calgary, Alberta

Heritage Hills is a neighbourhood of Cochrane, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 4,005 in Heritage Hills (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 27.2% of the population. 13.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 4.3%. 81.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.9% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 15.9% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $115,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 16.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 5.27 km², giving a population density of 759 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 283).
