Signal Hill (south) population

Census Tract 0017.04 · Calgary, Alberta

Signal Hill (south) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 4,512 in Signal Hill (south) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 12.1% of the population. 28.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 7.7%. 69.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 34.9% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $103,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 12.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.09 km², giving a population density of 2,163 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
