Ranchlands (west-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 5,087 in Ranchlands (west-southwest) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 19.3% of the population. 28.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 7.7%. 65.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 6.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 27.8% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $79,500 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 40.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.47 km², giving a population density of 3,472 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
