Hawkwood (northeast) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 3,318 in Hawkwood (northeast) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 15.8% of the population. 36.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 15.3%. 61.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 35.2% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $124,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 6.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.25 km², giving a population density of 2,661 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 283).
