Varsity (east-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 4,613 in Varsity (east-southeast) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 13.3% of the population. 33.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 13.1%. 63.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 27.2% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $91,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 34.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.95 km², giving a population density of 2,361 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 283).
