Summerhill population

Census Tract 0206.07 · Airdrie · Calgary, Alberta

Summerhill is a neighbourhood of Airdrie, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 7,132 in Summerhill (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 24.3% of the population. 20.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Filipino at 4.9%. 72.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 7.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 18.5% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $102,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 22.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.49 km², giving a population density of 2,869 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 283).
