Richmond (west) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 1,942 in Richmond (west) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 16.5% of the population. 22.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 4.3%. 74.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 19.4% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $111,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 33.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.60 km², giving a population density of 3,214 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
