Highwood is a residential community in the Centre sector of Calgary. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,205 living in private households. 22.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 41.4% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 9.1%. 73.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 17.2% of the population, compared with 33.3% citywide. Median household income before tax was $90,000 in 2020, compared with $98,000 for Calgary. 34.4% of households rented rather than owned.
