Hamptons (east) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 4,070 in Hamptons (east) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 11.7% of the population. 79.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 39.8%. 20.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 58.2% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $127,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 9.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.71 km², giving a population density of 2,386 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
