Falconridge (south-southwest) population

Census Tract 0038.17 · Calgary, Alberta

Falconridge (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 6,039 in Falconridge (south-southwest) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 23.3% of the population. 61.1% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 24.3%. 34.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 5.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 40.1% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $81,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 32.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.42 km², giving a population density of 4,240 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
