Douglasdale/Glen (east) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 4,274 in Douglasdale/Glen (east) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 15.9% of the population. 26.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 6.5%. 70.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 22.8% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $128,000 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 8.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 3.62 km², giving a population density of 1,182 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
