Acadia (west) is a neighbourhood of Calgary, in Calgary. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 7,208 in Acadia (west) (people living in private households). Children aged 0 to 14 made up 10.7% of the population. 34.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 38.8% across Calgary as a whole; the largest single group was Filipino at 8.6%. 61.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 34.0% of the population, compared with 31.5% citywide. Median household income before tax was $58,800 in 2020, compared with $100,000 for Calgary. 64.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.88 km², giving a population density of 3,828 people per square kilometre (Calgary averages about 300).
